As you approach these architectural marvels, enjoy the thrill of seeing their old slopes through the gaps between Cairo’s new skyscrapers. Stand under the shadow of the complex’s greatest building, the 481-foot Great Pyramid of Khufu.
At that moment, head to the Egyptian Museum to learn about Tutankhamen’s fortunes. It’s the ideal introduction to the ancient places you’ll visit along the Nile, thanks to the insights of our Egyptologist Tour guide. After a long day, return to your hotel in Cairo for Overnight.

Take a short flight from Cairo to Aswan and begin your day. You’ll be touring Aswan and getting onto your Nile Cruise Ship. Enjoy a full day of sightseeing, beginning with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, which was built from 1960 to 1970. It is the world’s largest embankment dam, designed to manage the Nile and floods in Egypt.
Then you will see the Philae Temple, which was erected to honor the goddess Isis. It is a wonderfully lovely temple, and it would have been lost to floods if the Aswan Dam had not been constructed. Enjoy the journey back to Aswan, board your cruise ship, and eat lunch as it departs for your next destination.
Late afternoon (optional tour). Nubian Village is beautifully painted in every hue of the rainbow. To start farming near the Nile. A little community with its own culture. Camels moved through the streets. Stay overnight in Aswan.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
There is an excellent opportunity for an early morning optional tour to the Great Temples of Abu Simbel, where you will see the magnificent sanctuaries that served Ramses II and his beloved monarch Nefertari. These sanctuaries on the Sudanese border are famous not only for their beauty, but also for their innovative history: they were relocated in 1968 to avoid submersion by the massive Lake Nasser.
Set sail to Kom Ombo for a 5-hour voyage from Aswan to your next destination.
Explore Kom Ombo Temple. This remarkable dual-deity temple of the Ptolemaic Period is dedicated to both Haroeris (one of the oldest forms of the falcon-headed God Horus) and, suitably, the frightening Crocodile God Sobek.
Egyptian Night Party It is customary on Nile Cruise ships to hold a party where everyone buys and wears a Galabeya, a traditional Egyptian gown. Most folks purchased their Galabeya. A fun-filled party with old 60s and 70s dancing tracks as well as Arabian music. Overnight at Edfu
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Temple tour of Edfu with the Nile. Begin your morning excursion in the well-preserved and massive Edfu Temple. The temple was built to worship Horus, the god of the sky and son of Osiris and Isis. Cleopatra VII reigned during the Greco-Roman period, when the temple was completed.
Following your tour, you will continue your journey along the Nile, arriving at Luxor in the afternoon for a visit to each of the famous temples at Luxor and Karnak. You will witness how the pharaohs were utilized to construct massive temples at Luxor and Karnak to glorify the god Amun Ra. You will view the freshly opened Sphinx Avenue, as well as many other sights. At night, the temple displays are a must-see and provide excellent photo possibilities.
Enjoy your final evening on board with an evening of entertainment, including a belly dancing presentation and music.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
The journey begins early in the morning by driving to the West Bank and crossing the Nile River to Luxor. You will see the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most successful female Pharaohs, who was inspired by her father, a powerful Pharaoh himself. Her reign was wealthy, and she was well-known for making trading expeditions to Punt—now Somalia—and returning with a bounty of goods.
Following this intriguing historical site, you will go to the Valley of the Kings, where you will visit a royal tomb and view one of the Seven Wonders of the World: 64 tombs ranging in size and depth, from a small pit to a complex tomb with over 120 royal chambers. Also see the Colossus of Memnon and the ongoing archeological work at the site. After that, transfer to Luxor International Airport, then fly to Cairo International Airport.
