Take a short flight from Cairo to Aswan and begin your day. You’ll be touring Aswan and getting onto your Nile Cruise Ship. Enjoy a full day of sightseeing, beginning with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, which was built from 1960 to 1970. It is the world’s largest embankment dam, designed to manage the Nile and floods in Egypt.

Then you will see the Philae Temple, which was erected to honor the goddess Isis. It is a wonderfully lovely temple, and it would have been lost to floods if the Aswan Dam had not been constructed. Enjoy the journey back to Aswan, board your cruise ship, and eat lunch as it departs for your next destination.

You will see the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most successful female Pharaohs, who was inspired by her father, a powerful Pharaoh himself. Her reign was wealthy, and she was well-known for making trading expeditions to Punt—now Somalia—and returning with a bounty of goods.

Following this intriguing historical site, you will go to the Valley of the Kings, where you will visit a royal tomb and view one of the Seven Wonders of the World: 64 tombs ranging in size and depth, from a small pit to a complex tomb with over 120 royal chambers. Day 1: Arrive In Uganda

If you are flying into Uganda, you will land at Entebbe International Airport. Depending on what time you arrive and whether you choose to stay in Entebbe or travel to Kampala, you can plan a few activities for the day at Entebbe

Days 2 and 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

It’s a lengthy trip from Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park in southern Uganda, so stay for two nights to maximize your experience.
There are several routes from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We traveled the Fort Portal Road (Highway A109), which runs west from Kampala and south from Fort Portal. The other route is the Mbarara-Kasese road, which runs directly southwest.
The gorgeous 6- to 8-hour ride to Queen Elizabeth National Park takes you via tea plantations, villages, and the borders of Kibale Forest National Park, which is known for its monkeys. Even though you won’t be going into the forest on this excursion, you’ll most likely spot a few colobus monkeys in the treetops beside the road, as well as a variety of colorful birds. Even when it is not rainy season, you will notice how lush and green the land is as you drive.
The highway followed also passes a small marker that indicates the Equator. This isn’t the most impressive landmark near Kampala, but it’s still fun to transition from the northern to southern hemispheres. An evening game drive is an excellent method to spot large cats, which may emerge when the sun and temperature fall. You will be lucky to spot lions.
Early morning game drives reveal hyenas returning to their burrows, warthogs foraging for food, hippos wallowing in waterholes, and an abundance of colorful birds.

Day 4: Drive To Ishasha Sector Of Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day four, travel to the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is one of Uganda’s more distant destinations, but it offers a unique environment and fauna.
The travel takes about two hours, but it’s rocky, so ready for a “African massage”!

The Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park is best known for its tree-climbing lions. While it’s unclear why these lions enjoy climbing into the branches, others believe it’s to escape the heat of the day and avoid biting insects.
There are only a few hundred lions left in Ishasha, so spotting these tree-climbing cats can be tough.

In this region of the country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda are separated by the Ishasha River. You may drive to the river and see how near the DRC is—only a few metres across the filthy waters. But be warned: if you try to cross, there will be lots of hippos standing in for border security!

Day 5: Drive To Kisoro Gorilla Trecking

Day five is another long day of driving. Kisoro, located in southwestern Uganda, is approximately a 5-hour journey from Ishasha.

The drive takes you into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and this is your first chance to see why it’s so named. The hills are covered in thick forest, with settlements, tea plantations, and tiny pieces of cropland scattered throughout.

Kisoro serves as a gorilla tracking base for those trekking via the southern half of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking In Uganda

Today is the day you’ve been waiting for: the opportunity to see mountain gorillas in the wild.

Only three countries have wild mountain gorillas Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. More than half of the remaining gorilla population lives in Uganda, making it the best site to see them.

In the early hours of the day, you will travel past expansive forests along the crater rim before starting your thrilling 2,000-meter descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is unlike any other place on Earth, with towering crater walls encircling a barren plain.

It seemed to me that I had ventured into a lost world with an incredible variety of animals and environments.

You’ll spend the early hours on a game drive in the crater, followed by lunch on the banks of Lake Magadi, a big alkaline lake inhabited by flamingos and hippos.
In the afternoon, you will ascend the crater and visit a Maasai settlement to observe their famed jumping dance and learn more about their distinct culture.

The trip will be divided up into several stops. You will visit Nyanza, where you may see the former palace of Rwanda’s last king. You will then stop at the Butare National Museum.
After lunch, you’ll head to Nyungwe, crossing through the forest. You may witness playful primates playing by the road as you travel.

Day Two – Nyungwe Forest National Park

You’ll wake up early for breakfast before heading off in quest of Rwanda’s fascinating and endangered chimp population. There are only four hundred chimps in the country, so there’s no guarantee you’ll see them on your trip, but your Shadows of Africa guide will do everything he can to offer you a sight of our closest animal relatives.
Even if you don’t see a chimp, the national park is a delightfully diverse site to visit in the morning while looking for them and after lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll look for another of the park’s primate residents, the cheeky black and white colobus monkey. These active monkeys are an easier stroll than the chimps, and you’ll enjoy their playful behavior.

There is no certainty as to how lengthy or tough your tracking experience will be because it is dependent on the location of the gorilla family and weather conditions. Protected from poachers, they carry their massive tusks with pride as they gather at predictable watering holes, delighting the many who come to Amboseli National Park to view these noble creatures.

Amboseli is known as the best place in Africa for getting up close to free-ranging elephants. The population is so robust here that sightings are guaranteed.

Kilimanjaro, the largest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world, towers over the park like a stately and photogenic sentinel. And when the clouds burn off at dusk or dawn, you’ll be treated to visions of its snowy peak

Tsavo West & East:

We will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel/ residence at exactly 0800hrs where our professional safari guide will transfer you towards Lake Naivasha.

This is a remarkable ride as you enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift valley which will take approximately 3 hrs. Stopping over at the great rift valley escarpment view point for pictures and bathroom breaks.

Lake Nakuru National Park:

Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National park, we will venture deep into a 3 hr game drive in the company of your professional guide who will give insightful information throughout the day. Lake Nakuru National Park, nestled in the southwestern part of Kenya, northwest of Nairobi, is a captivating gem within the Great Rift Valley.

Here are some fascinating details about this wildlife haven with a rich ecological diversity including wildlife species like the white rhinos, hippos, giraffes, lions, leopards and many more. This is also a bird watching haven endowed with over 400 different species of birds and a stunning pink flamingo covered lake that stretches over 188 km2.

Lunch will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar or picnic depending on your preferred arrangement.

Hells Gate National Park:

Between 13:30 -1400 hrs., you will arrive at hells gate national park. Hell’s Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya. Geothermal Activity. The park is named after the

intense geothermal activity within its boundaries. It features towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes, and belching plumes of geothermal steam.

These natural wonders make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower: These impressive rock formations are part of the park’s unique scenery. Hell’s Gate Gorge: Lined with red cliffs, this gorge contains the volcanic plugs of Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower.

While the park is relatively small by African standards (covering 68.25 square kilometers), it boasts a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the inhabitants including Lions, leopards, and cheetahs (though they are few in number). Rare lammergeyer vultures.

Over 103 species of birds, including vultures, eagles, buzzards, and swifts. Other common animals

like African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, hyena, and baboons. Enjoy your excursion and bicycle rides in the park as you get to enjoy wildlife viewing till evening when you depart.

Return to Nairobi:

After your bicycle rides, rock climbing, nature walks and game drives in the park, we will now depart back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and arrive at around 6:00 pm sharp.

Day 01 – Start of your Safari from Nairobi

Our driver guide reports to your hotel for Start of the safari, with a 8 – 8.30am departure for a scenic drive down into the Rift Valley, to Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve. You will be in your own private safari vehicle. Stop briefly en-route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for stunning views of what is the world’s largest valley. Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch. The afternoon game drive at 3.30 pm allows spotting of the unrivaled wildlife in the park. Return to your camp by 6.30pm.

Day 02 – Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara

You enjoy two game drives today, one in the morning at 6.15am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch. As your safari is private your game drive timings are flexible, useful if you are traveling with children, or are on a honeymoon. You may also choose to have a full day game drive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return to your camp by evening.

Day 03 – Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara

Full day at Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You may want to add a Maasai Village visit or a Hot air Balloon ride into your safari [Optional activities at additional cost – please enquire with us ]. Return to your camp by evening.
Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge [Option of Mara Sopa Lodge or similar, in case of unavailability ].

Day 4 – Return to Nairobi

After a relaxed breakfast and check-out. Depart for return road transfer back to Nairobi with a shortened morning game drive en-route. Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon [typically by 2.30pm]. Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.

The park is famous for its large herds of African elephants. Visitors can see these majestic animals up close, often with Kilimanjaro in the background. Amboseli is one of the best places in Africa for elephant viewing.

Aside from elephants, Amboseli is home to a variety of wildlife. Lions, cheetahs, and buffaloes roam the plains, while giraffes and zebras are frequently spotted. Birdwatchers can enjoy over 400 species, including pelicans and flamingos.
